How do I sign up to be notified when a job of interest is posted?

Simply fill out a Job Interest Form.

What if I do not see the job I was searching for posted?

Only the positions posted are available. If you do not see the job you are looking for, please fill out a Job Interest Form to be notified when a position of interest becomes available.

Will I receive confirmation that my application has been received?

Yes, ADP Workforce Now will send a verification e-mail after you have submitted your application.

How can I find out the status of my application?

Human Resources and the department hiring manager review applications on a regular basis. If they are interested in interviewing you, someone will be contacting you to set up an interview.

What are the next steps once a recruitment closes?

Once a recruitment closes, the Human Resources Department and hiring department will coordinate the interview process. Afterwards, a selection is made, and the chosen individual is contacted to commence the background process. Upon completion of the background, the selected candidate is given an offer letter and may commence employment with the City.

Where can I find the City's benefit information for full-time positions?

Are you claiming Veterans' Preference?

If so, please remember to attach a copy of your DD214 or military discharge papers, or equivalent certification from the Department of Veterans Affairs, listing military status, dates of service, and discharge type.

How do I contact the Human Resources Department?

The Human Resources Department may be contacted by phone, email, or in person during normal City business hours. Contact information is available on the City's official website.

What are City business hours?

City offices generally operate Monday through Friday during standard business hours, excluding holidays. Department schedules may vary.

Does the City accept paper applications or resumes?

The City requires applications to be submitted through the official online application system in order to maintain accurate and consistent records. Individuals who require reasonable accommodation to complete the application process may contact the Human Resources Department for assistance in accordance with applicable laws.

What is the hiring and selection process?

The hiring process may vary depending on the position and department. Generally, applications are reviewed by the hiring manager and/or interview panel to identify candidates who meet the minimum and preferred qualifications. Selected candidates may be contacted to participate in interviews.

Following the interview process, a candidate may be identified for further consideration. The department notifies Human Resources, and the selection is reviewed in accordance with City procedures, which may include approvals, background screening, and other pre-employment requirements, as applicable.

If a selection is finalized, Human Resources coordinates the onboarding process, which may include completion of required documentation and pre-employment steps.

How are employment verification requests handled?
