About Leisure
The Leisure Services department provides accessible, inclusive, and diverse recreational programs, services, and facilities. The department manages and maintains the City’s parks, recreational centers, athletic fields, beachfront facilities, golf course, library, parking and cultural venues. Programs are offered for all age groups and include youth sports, senior activities, summer camps, fitness classes, arts and cultural programs, and community events.
The Leisure Services department is committed to enhancing the lives of its citizens and visitors by providing safe, healthy, cultural and educational recreational opportunities for the community, while preserving and enhancing natural resources and stimulating the economic vitality of the community.
The city's premier beachfront destination, anchored by the historic 1920s Casino Building with restaurants, shops, a 3,000 sq ft ballroom, and a wraparound terrace overlooking the ocean.
Year-round lifeguard coverage along the city's quarter-mile beach. Trained for rescue, first aid, and proactive safety so the beach stays a place to relax.
Stretching 960 feet into the Atlantic, the William O. Lockhart Pier is one of Florida's top land-based fishing spots. Bait shop with rod rentals, shaded benches, and space for tournaments and events.
Our newest service, dedicated to keeping parks safe and welcoming. Rangers answer questions about park rules, respond to emergencies, and partner with the Sheriff's Office.
